Please Try the following:
- Disable the “Less Secure Apps” settings on accounts.google.com
- Go to accounts.google.com and turn on 2-factor authorization
- Go to the “Security” tab on accounts.google.com and click “App Passwords”
- Create an App Password (Do NOT close the window that appears)
- In a new tab, open the AbanteCart SMTP settings page.
- Enter the following:
- Mail Protocol – SMTP
- SMTP Host - ssl://smtp.gmail.com
- SMTP Username - your username (aka username if your email is [email protected])
- SMTP Password - The generated app password from step #4
- SMTP Port - 465
