Error Message

FTP Connection Error Error: Builder could not connect to hosting server. Please check hosting firewall. It must allow FTP connections from builder server.

Other Information

I am informed by Sitebuilder Pro that the index.php file for my website is not the correct index.php file for use with Sitebuilder. When I try to allow Sitebuilder to overwrite the index.php file, there seems to be no change made. I can access my site’s FTP server from my computer so I think it is open to connections. This error started appearing after I first installed the HESK script through the webhost panel and then uninstalled the HESK script.

Have you activated FTP by going to the control panel in your dashboard?

I think I have activated FTP from my dashboard. The FTP Details section on my account lists the information for logging into an FTP client and it works when I enter the details into Filezilla and try to connect. I can see the filesystem of my site and all the files that have been uploaded. It’s only Sitebuilder Pro that gives me the error.

I checked your website’s index.php file and I can tell it’s definitely not from Site.Pro. It’s also not from HESK, it contains a lot of obfuscated code which is not what you’d expect from most website software.

I just tried to publish your website and I was able to do so without any issues. Maybe there just was some temporary issue publishing the files?
