Site worked for days, now shows InfinityFree 404 with no config changes

My website was working for several days and now consistently shows an InfinityFree 404 page even though DNS and hosting settings appear correct.

Website URL

https://couturier.fi

Error Message

404! We couldn't find that page.
Please check to make sure you've typed the URL correctly.
This webserver is CaSe SenSiTiVe so ensure capital letters in the URL match the files uploaded.

Other Information

  • The site was live and working normally for several days.

  • No recent changes were made before it went down.

  • The error is consistent and has been occurring for over 30 minutes.

  • DNS is managed via Cloudflare and appears correct.

  • InfinityFree hosting dashboard shows no errors or suspension.

  • Clearing cache and testing from different networks/devices shows the same result.

  • This looks like the domain may no longer be resolving to the correct document root or the domain-to-folder mapping may have been reset.

On your dashboard you should have a screen that looks like this

I’m guessing the index directory and file are showing correctly?

Yes, that is correct

My website was again up for few days without any changes and now it seems to be down giving the same error.

Hello. Got this from a different network.

May we know how recent was the latest you made with your DNS record? The domain name was registered late last year but there is a string of IP changes already even up to this month.

Since you are using Cloudflare, we must eliminate first it as source of the issue. Have you tried Purge Cache (in Cloudflare Dashboard), resetting Browser Cache TTL not too long, and revisiting again after some time?

Also, it may not be related but as far as I know InfinityFree 404 looks something like this:

Kindly post here again if problem persists, so somebody else can check.

Because that is the InfinityFree 404 page. It’s customized.

What OP get is the iFastNet/MyOwnFreeHost 404 page, the absolute default.

TTL has been the stock, havent changed it:

Browser Cache TTL

Determine the length of time Cloudflare instructs a visitor’s browser to cache files. During this period, the browser loads the files from its local cache, speeding up page loads.

I find this issue strange since I have succesfully setted up few similiar configurations and this is the only one that is down.

I have tried with other devices, other networks and still keep facing the same issue.

EDIT:
And yes i have tried purging cache from cloudflare.

Wait, you have two different IP addresses configured for couturier.fi and www.couturier.fi? It looks like you pointed the domain to both 185.27.134.101 and 185.27.134.130.

That could very well explain the intermittent issues you’re having. The IP address 185.27.134.101 is the one that’s correct for your account, and 185.27.134.130 is not. When Cloudflare forwards the request to the .130 IP, that could result in that 404 error.

To fix it, please remove any records pointing to 185.27.134.130. I don’t know where you got that IP address from, because it’s not the one your account is on right now.

I also recommend to remove the custom NS records you have setup. It doesn’t help your website, it’s just an invalid setting that doesn’t do anything.

Amazing! Removing excess ip fixed my issue. Thank you!
