Ad covering up title

Other Information

The title of my hosting account is covered by a sidebar ad, which I am not a fan of. I don’t want to enable my Ad-Blocker, because I don’t mind seeing Ads. However, this particular Sidebar Ad is covering the title, which I rely on to determine what account I am in and to easily copy-paste the Username of the account.

If the sidebar ad can be moved down a bit, that would be amazing!

The ad slot sizes should be set so that it doesn’t overlap with the content. But with responsive content, that sometimes doesn’t work well.

Can you please share the exact width of your screen (in pixels) so I can test it?

Apologies for the late response.

Screen Resolution is 1440X610

Also, during the morning time where I am at, no ads appear. They only appear during night time.

This is what it looks like in the morning/afternoon. I don’t use any adblockers.

That’s not right either.

Thank you for the additional information.

This is a difficult problem to solve though:

  • The client area uses some non-standard breakpoints to be able to have the sidebar ads on screens between 1400px and 1600px wide. Normal Bootstrap doesn’t allow for this, and sometimes it’s fine but sometimes it causes content to not fold the way it should (seen most clearly with the four big buttons being cut off).
  • Ad code is finicky and involves a lot of external parties. It’s possible that it breaks sometimes and there is very little insight into that.
  • The ad slots should contain “responsive” ads. The relevant divs are sized correctly that they don’t overlap with the content, but apparently Google sometimes selects ads that are bigger than the box that should contain them.

I’ll try some things to see if this can be improved, but it’s a tough nut to crack.

An even odder bug:

My (new) Windows Computer displays Ads just fine. The Windows computer uses a 1440 x 900 Display. It has an Ad-Blocker, with InfinityFree excluded from it.

My MacBook only displays Ads at night. It’s a weird oddity. It has no Ad-Blocker.

My Android Phone will display the Ad-Template Banners, but no Ads populate them. My Phone has no Ad-Blocker, but does rely on Cellular Data from Tracfone. WiFi or not, still the same issue.

All of my devices use Chrome.

(I am currently at work, I will send screenshots from my Windows computer when I go home.)
