Show hidden files in free Flie Manager

I’m using the free file manager:

The help files show how to make hidden files visible, but these pictures look nothing like my setup. Perhaps it’s different for the free vs premium file manager?

That’s correct. Because InfinityFree and iFastNet are different services. The latter provides premium hosting, business hosting, VPS hosting, etc. while the former provides free web hosting.

A quick search in the forum tells me that Monsta FTP (the FTP client used here) shows hidden files by default.

I believe all our file managers show hidden files by default, so files like .htaccess are always visible. Blocking access to hidden files would make no sense, considering .htaccess is technically a hidden file as well, but it’s very important to most websites.

Thank you! I do see .htaccess when I first create it. But it disappears after I edit it within the file manager. (I worked around the problem by editing offline and re-uploading, but I thought I’d share anyway.)
