Server problem, slow, lagging... fresh user

Hello,
what is going on?! It’s the 2nd day of my testing and checking the InfinityFree offer. yesterday I’ve just got something from my check and today, 2 testing sites are totally slow, cannot be open in FTP (empty list and errors), very very slow in any browser. Please don’t tell me solutions like restarts, check another browser, and similar call center “get lost” solutions. Is it normal here? if it is I need to check another offer before deciding to pay something. Additional info I have a very fast static connection and EVERYTHING around works very very fast only here is a big problem. Please I don’t have time to be a beta tester in servers connections and speed, just tell me what about speed here… maybe it is a kind of offer when problems disappear after paying. If yes just tell.
Regards to All

If your connection is really as fast as you say, it is probably on InfinityFree’s end. Remember, these are shared servers, meaning lots of people use them all at once, so that makes them considerably slower than say a ‘Private VPS server’.

If you are using WordPress, try checking all of your plugins and updating them. If is the first load of the site in over 6hrs, it will be slow because that’s when WordPress does all of its tasks.

All you say is it’s very slow (and giving you errors)? Can you reproduce the issue in FileZilla and share a screenshot? Can you share the URL so I can check?

Hi,
thanks, but nothing helps. It works great in the day when I start it but for now, it’s drama. The situation has not changed for many hours so I don’t think so it is too many peoples use it. I am with Adobe Dreamweaver’s latest version, no special plugins either just pure code. Everything is configured fine, checked other options - nothing helps. I try it under many FTP clients but not FileZilla try it soon and share the screen. I try it just for use from the command shell, under PC and Apple, still the same, slow, lagging and cannot use it as a remote server (last night through many hours it was okay). Bad is maybe should I return to crazy Google for it.

I’m not sure I understand. So you use Adobe Dreamweaver, right? You tried to access your site from the command line, right? and it failed? that’s because of this: Ensuring only web browsers can access your website. Again, can you share the URL and a screenshot of FileZilla?

Here the screen but I don’t know how it help (sorry I use Polish version temporary).
In this moment connection is possible (without any changes) and a little bit faster:

In log from Dreamweaver I can see something interesting now:
/htdocs/index.php - wystąpił błąd - Błąd FTP - nie można ściągnąć index.php. Osiągnięto limit użytkowników.

In translation, its users limit reached and operation terminated.

I want to try and help you with this, but I need a lot more details to do so.

Can you please specify what exactly is slow and how slow it is? Please don’t just say “the server”, the hosting platform is setup with many different specialized servers, and any of them could have any kind of performance consequence for your site.

Is a website slow? If so, can you share a URL? How many seconds does it take to open a page? Does this happen on all pages?

As for the FTP server, can you please explain what specifically is the issue? I see in the screenshot the connection was closed, but that could also be the server timeout kicking it (connections are forcibly closed if they are idle for 20 seconds).

Thanks for your support, Mr. admin,
I am not typing here anymore because from 3 days exactly from Sunday night everything is back to normal. I didn’t change anything and I didn’t throw in anything new, it just started working. FTP access is back, both for FileZilla and Dreamweaver. I do not know what could have happened, you can see there was no problem on my side or in the code of what I am doing (by the way, there were scripts transferred from a previously fully functioning portal for almost 2 years). The most important thing is that it works. If the problems return, I will try to be more precise and come back to the topic. For now, it’s okay as I assumed.
Best Regards and stay safe
