You need to upload your website files in the htdocs folder.

If you open a file manager or connect to FTP, you’ll be presented with a folder which usually has a folder called `htdocs`, a file called `DO_NOT_UPLOAD_FILES_HERE` and a file called `.htaccess`. This is the base folder of your account which holds all the other files, also referred to as root folder.

If you’re using Let’s Encrypt’s file verification method, you should read this KB article:

[https://infinityfree.net/support/cannot-use-or-have-problems-using-lets-encrypt-or-sslforfreecom/](https://infinityfree.net/support/cannot-use-or-have-problems-using-lets-encrypt-or-sslforfreecom/)

After installing a SSL certificate, if you want to verify if the installed SSL certificate is valid or not, you should use this tool:

> **[SSL Checker](https://www.sslshopper.com/ssl-checker.html)**
>
> Use our fast SSL Checker will help you troubleshoot common SSL Certificate installation problems on your server including verifying that the correct certificate is installed, valid, and properly trusted.

You could use Cloudflare by going on [here](https://dash.cloudflare.com/sign-up), signing up to a free account, adding the domain and changing the nameservers to theirs to have free SSL and protection.

No, you won’t lose the hosting with us. And, if the DNS records are not correct or complete, you need to point it to us with this guide, taken up from [this KB article](https://infinityfree.net/support/cloudflare-shows-error-1016-origin-dns-error/), but edited by me to match the English grammatical standards and the new Cloudflare dashboard’s DNS page:

> First, delete all DNS records currently in the Cloudflare’s “DNS” page. Then, you’ll want to add the following DNS records:
>
> - `CNAME` record with name `@` and the target being your account’s main domain. [How to find your main domain.](https://infinityfree.net/support/find-your-ip)
> - `CNAME` record with name `www` and target `@` .
> - `MX` record with name `@` and target `mx.epizy.com` (to receive emails).
> - An additional `CNAME` record for every subdomain. So if you have a subdomain named “blog”, you need to add a `CNAME` record with name `blog` and target `@` .

Yes, but if the DNS records are not complete or correct, you need to follow the guide I posted above.
