Error Message

The selected custom domain is already in use on InfinityFree. If this is your custom domain, please remove it from any other accounts first.

Other Information

Hi InfinityFree Support,

I’m trying to add my domain (vegbasket.shop) to a new InfinityFree account, but I’m getting an error saying:

“The selected custom domain is already in use on InfinityFree. If this is your custom domain, please remove it from any other accounts first.”

I have previously used this domain on other InfinityFree accounts, but they are now in a suspended stage. Since I no longer have access to remove the domain from those accounts, could you please manually unlink my domain so I can use it again?

Domain: vegbasket.shop

Thank you for your help!

No, that’s not possible. You’ll have to wait for the suspended account to be deleted.

No, that is prohibited to prevent people from getting around suspensions. If the suspension is permanent, open a support ticket in the client area and request domain removal, depending on the actual suspension reason, it may or may not be granted.

Thank you for your response. I understand that domain removal is not possible at this time, and I will need to wait for the suspended account to be deleted.

Could you please confirm how long it will take for the suspended account to be deleted? Additionally, will the domain automatically become available for use elsewhere once the deletion process is complete?

I appreciate your guidance on this matter.

Best regards,

I checked your account and it’s not suspended, it’s deactivated.

Because of that, removing the domain is very simple:

  1. Reactivate the account.
  2. Remove the domain from the account.
  3. Deactivate the account again.

And next time, when you see a big warning saying that your domains will be locked to your account when you deactivate it, please pay attention and think if that might require any additional action from you.
