I’m trying to set up my domain zamahub.co.za with InfinityFree, but I haven’t been able to link it successfully. I received a message indicating that I need to verify ownership of the domain by setting up a DNS zone on the nameservers.

Other Information:

• I have updated the nameservers to:
  • ns1.infinityfree.com
  • ns2.infinityfree.com
• I have added the following CNAME record for verification:
  • Name: 3021c466086472109931e452482f97fd.zamahub.co.za
  • Target: ns1.byet.org

Could you please assist me in creating a DNS zone for my domain on your nameservers?

It’s already done:

The reason it does not work is because you have not done one of the following:

1. Set InfinityFree nameservers on your domain
2. Setup an A record to point to the IP in the last screenshot

The DNS zone for your domain is created on our end when you add the domain to your hosting account. If your domain provider won’t let you change the nameservers of your domain before the DNS zone is setup, you can use the CNAME verification instead.

Note that you can only do one verification: nameserver or CNAME. It’s not possible to do both. After all, if you change the domain to our nameservers, you’d have to add the CNAME records to our nameservers, which you can’t do until the domain is linked to your account.
