I am having an issue where my Rank Math XML sitemap is returning a 404 “Page Not Found” error.
I have already tried the following troubleshooting steps:
Refreshed and saved my Permalinks settings.
Flushed the Rank Math sitemap cache by changing the “Links Per Sitemap” value.
Verified that Rank Math is my only active plugin.
Despite these steps, the sitemap still won’t load. Could you please check if there are any server-level restrictions or security rules on my account preventing the sitemap from generating correctly?
Try clearing your cache and refreshing. If you’ve only recently set up your site you may also need to wait up to 72 hours for DNS propagation. Although that wouldn’t usually throw a 404 error.
As far as I can tell, this seems to be handled entirely within WordPress. But I don’t know enough about the RankMath extension to be able to say anything useful about why you’re having this issue. This is definitely not a hosting problem we can fix from our end.
