So I’m planning on upgrading to premium ifastnet hosting through infinityfree after looking around all kinds of providers I have 1 necessity that is being able to turn of strict_mode in mysql I could do that in free infinityfree (and in none of the other paid hosting providers i contacted) so i just wanted to know if this stayed the same after upgrading to the ifastnet premium package (strict_mode can be turned off when having super privilage in mysql) .

Strict SQL mode is already turned off on both InfinityFree and iFastNet by default. On both platforms, the sql_mode setting is set to an empty string, which means the STRICT_TRANS_TABLES mode is not enabled.

That said, there appear to be two ways to configure sql_mode: as a per-connection runtime option, or as a global system option. Of course, a web hosting provider will not let you set the global system option, as it would affect all websites, not just yours. But setting the SQL mode on an individual connection should work everywhere.

If you were hoping to see an option in the control panel to change this, I don’t think you will find it anywhere on any hosting provider, because MySQL just doesn’t have a way to configure this per user or per database.

And also if I buy hosting directly from one infinityfree account(1/3 max) does it then count for all of the 3 accounts or only for that one?

To be clear: InfinityFree provides free hosting and iFastNet provides premium hosting. The premium hosting links you see on our panel are basically just advertisements. InfinityFree doesn’t sell premium hosting, and the premium hosting is basically completely separate.

So if you buy premium hosting from the upgrade page of a free hosting account, then you get a premium hosting account at iFastNet in addition to the free accounts you have with us. This doesn’t change your free hosting accounts at all.

I know iFastNet can migrate a free hosting account to a premium account. so they can migrate all files, databases and domains to your premium account. I don’t know if they can merge multiple free hosting accounts into a single premium account. I’d guess not, but you’d have to ask iFastNet about that, not us, because we are not involved with the premium hosting at all.
