It’s not possible to change directory permissions on free hosting unfortunately

The message is incorrect, your data directory is not readable by other people. However, Nextcloud can only see the directory permissions, and doesn’t see the other protections we have setup to protect your website.
That said, please note that our website hosting is only intended for websites, not file hosting or file sharing sites, so you cannot use Nextcloud on our hosting for that purpose. Access with the Nextcloud desktop client or apps, or anything to sync calendars, contacts, etc. will also not work on our hosting.
