i am having similar issues and when i try to reset password it shows me a hint for an email i do not even recognize please fix this
Based on your description I don’t think you are having a similar issue, so I split the topic for you.
If you want to reset your password you should use the password reset function in the Client Area.
Unless you are trying to click the “Reset Password” on the Softaculous cPanel page… You are not supposed to do that AT ALL, it won’t work.
it is the same issue, when I login to my infinityfree dashboard, I click the hosting account and visit the Cpanel..whenever I click the softacolous app installer it tells me to login my cpanel again and the login details doesn’t work..so I tried to change it and the email hint there is something I do not even recognize.
Well you are indeed a bit unclear, sorry I misunderstood.
Either way you are not supposed to touch that login page. I understand you wanted to use Softaculous but currently you can do nothing about it.
You are never, ever supposed to login into that cPanel. Because you don’t own a cPanel hosting account.
You cannot reset the password with that. You need to wait. There’s no workaround at the moment.
I just checked it and Softaculous seemed to be working fine from here.
