Problem 1: When I tried to link to a subpage from there it takes me to 404. The link had to be changed from what it was before, so I reuploaded the page. But the link remained as it was. Using edit in files manager I finally managed to change it, but still points to 404.
Is there some delay when we reupload/modify a page or what ?
Problem 2: The text is supposed to be in Greek but I see hieroglyphics.
There’s no delay when you update a file on the server. What’s causing the issue is that your browser is still caching the old version and not fetching the latest one from the server. Clearing cache will do the job.
Ok thanks. Looks like it is the caching.
Now for encoding the page says Greek (Windows).
There is also the option Greek (ISO).
(*) Greek in Greek is "Ελληνικά)
What do I choose ?
I may have one or two more questions but it’s the Greek now I 'm looking for.
This website is in English but a section is in Greek.
When working with websites, you should only ever use UTF-8 encoding. It’s what browsers and most editors expect, and supports all characters in all languages as far as I know.
Windows has the annoying habit of defaulting to Windows-specific encodings (that don’t work anywhere except on Windows desktops). And when giving you encoding options, that they tend to make encodings “easier to understand”, which means inventing their own names for it which makes it less clear what it actually means.
