Sometimes 50x
My website just keeps going down for short intervals (around 2min) multiple times during the day every day, sometimes it shows a 50x error message and sometimes it is completely down, this mostly happens at night.
As I mentioned, it happens multiple times during the day for short intervals.
Can you please clarify what exact errors you see? Different 5xx status codes have different meanings, and “it is completely down” could mean anything.
Also, if you have some information about when exactly this happens and for how long?
It’s hard to help you if we can’t reproduce the issue, i.e. we can see your website is down. That doesn’t mean the issue doesn’t exist, but it does mean that we’re reliant on the information you give us because we cannot really obtain anything ourselves.
Here is the message from hetrix monitoring tool that also shows the error messages from different locations, it went down for two minutes at 2:41pm UTC, it does the exact same thing at night multiple times.
It’s possible your monitoring tool is falling foul of the security system
I’m afraid that this have nothing to do with my issue, if this was the case, then I should get a 4xx error not 5xx, the later indicates a problem with the server.
502 is a “Bad Gateway” Error, that can be caused by a number of things, including certain server blocks and security systems that refuse a connection.
503 is a “Service Unavailable” Error, which I’ll admit is usually because of a server issue.
That said, I just tried a website status error on my site, and got a 503, but my site is working fine. So I’m not sure
The thing is that when I try to open the website while the monitering tool says that it’s down, I find that it is actually down when I try to visit the website.
And if the problem was that the monitering tool was being blocked by the server, then this should be the case all the time, not at random times for short intervals.
