My forum is completely broken

Website URL

No, don’t make me hit the hits limit

Error Message

None, but my Flarum-based forum is misbehaving. Random actions cause it to only show a blank screen with a menu bar.

Other Information

(other information and details relevant to your question)

Go to admin then Tools > Clear Cache.

If that didn’t work, start from upgrading the core and extensions, then disable the most recent extensions you’ve installed.

I realised it is ONLY for the “All Discussions” page

There’re might be some issues loading the contents. But please first try what I told you above.
What does the browser debug console says?

Well, there is no Tools section.

Flarum version: 1.8.8

It’s on the “Dashboard” page, it’s not a separate section.

Tried, didn’t work.

Please answer my question then:

Make sure to enable debug first

In the browser console, I see TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'type')

This usually means that one of your extensions had gone wrong. Try first upgrading all of them, then disabling them one by one until the issue is gone.

I checked and everything is already up to date

Yes, they might be up to date, but that’s not the only thing that I have said:

I disabled all extensions except built-in Flarum ones. Didn’t work

I’m scratching my heads now. At this point it was better to ask on the official flarum forum instead.

I’ll provide what is happening (with images).

First, I am browsing the “Tutorials” tag I made, it works as expected.

Next, I click “All Discussions”

Then, I get an error.

I hit reload

And I am presented with a BLANK SCREEN

Something is definitely wrong in your site because it is throwing out 500 Internal Server Error (Your censorship skill really needs improvement, I can literally just guess your website URL lol)

What extensions are currently active on your forum? Please screenshot the admin page that includes all the extensions.

Extensions enabled:

  1. Approval (the vendor is Flarum)
  2. BBCode (the vendor is Flarum)
  3. Email Verification Switch (the vendor is isaced)
  4. Emoji (the vendor is Flarum)
  5. Extension Manager (the vendor is Flarum)
  6. Flags (the vendor is Flarum)
  7. FoF Links (the vendor is David Sevilla Martín)
  8. Likes (the vendor is Flarum)
  9. Lock (the vendor is Flarum)
  10. Markdown (the vendor is Flarum)
  11. Mentions (the vendor is Flarum)
  12. Statistics (the vendor is Flarum)
  13. Sticky (the vendor is Flarum)
  14. Suspend (the vendor is Flarum)
  15. Tags (the vendor is Flarum)

Disable them all then make sure flaurm core is updated to the latest stable version.

And your site is very broken for me, the only thing that appears is the navigation bar and nothing else.

So another option is to just reinstall Flarum. You don’t seem to have much content there anyways.

I recommend Xenforo as software to use to host a forum. Give it a try.

I don’t. Xenforo is almost $200. If you’re willing to spend that on forum software, you can definitely spend some money on a good host. And if you’re not buying a license, that’s illegal and grounds for termination of all your IF accounts.
