Account suspended
(please share the FULL error message you see, if applicable)
I only uploaded a few files, then my account gets suspeneded. i just want my domain back so i can go with a paid hoster because now it just redirects to suspeneded website no matter what
(other information and details relevant to your question)
What is the reason for suspension? It will be displayed in the client area. Note that if it prompts you to open a support ticket, we cannot help you here on the forum.
Hello,
Your account was suspended for a violation of our terms of service. Reasons for this may include harmful or illegal content, or because your account overloaded our servers.
I didnt do anthing illegal, im only using this service while i save up for something.
It could be because i put my “breachforums” link on my website but thats really the only reason i can think of, unless i accedently overloaded the servers lol
Im just a bit sad my domain is now ruined and just redirects to suspended website, as thats ÂŁ12 down the drain
Then please open a support ticket in the client area, we cannot help you here.
Doing something “Illegal” also means things that are in violation of the Terms of Service, even if they are not technically illegal in your jurisdiction. The support team will be able to tell you more, we cannot.
Okay, ive opened a ticket. Do you know how long it usually takes?
And also if its possible to stop it redirecting so i can move to a different host or is my site just like this now
The support team works normal business hours in the London timezone, so you should expect a reply within 72 hours.
As you have a custom domain, you can change your domains namservers to a different provider, but due to DNS propagation it may take up to 72 hours for that change to happen (And up to another 72 hours to change it back to InfinityFree).
Also, if you don’t care to get this account restored, you can also skip the support ticket entirely. Your domain is still your own, so you can just change the nameservers of your domain to point it to your new hosting provider. It can still take up to 72 hours for the suspension page to be visible, but that’s due to DNS caching, not because we are holding your domain hostage (we can’t).
I got it restored, but I had already moved provider. I may use infinityfree again due to my forum being on there lol
thanks
also, Im really stupid and did acctualy think that you could keep my domain hostage lol
