Making an Alias to my Domain

Sharing My Login Information

Hello, dont know if this is a stupid question, but i would like to add another user to upload and maintain the Domain, whats the best way to go about it,iam afraid he may change password and block me out, maybe create a FTP account to share with him?

Welcome to the forum

Unfortunately this isn’t something that’s supported by Infinity Free.
Technically, there’s nothing stopping you giving him your login details, or your FTP details (the FTP password is different and can only be changed in the dashboard (i think)) , but that comes with risks as you say.

If you’re using a CMS like Wordpress, most have the option to set up contributor logins, that’ll let your friend add content, But if you’re building a site from scratch, then that may not be viable.

The other option could be to set up a Github repo that you can both “pull” too and use github actions to publish the page to Infinity Free, like this person asked about:

To address your specific concern, you could choose to only give them access to your hosting account, not the client area profile. That way, they can access the control panel, FTP, etc., but even if they managed to change the password, then you can just change it back from the client area.

Of course, if you are legitimately concerned about them doing that, you may not want to give them access to your account in the first place.
