**Subject: Main domain and free subdomain returning DNS\_PROBE\_FINISHED\_NXDOMAIN**

Hello InfinityFree Support,

My hosting account’s main domain, `ygiripld.infinityfree.com`, is returning `DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN`.

My temporary domain, `karaokelite.rf.gd`, is also affected.

Here are my hosting details:

- Main domain: [ygiripld.infinityfree.com](http://ygiripld.infinityfree.com)

- Website IP: 185.27.134.201

- Home directory: /htdocs

- Hosting account: Active (please verify)

- DNS lookup: No A record found

My website files are still present in htdocs, including index.html, welcome.html, and login.html.

Could you please check whether my hosting domains are correctly registered in your DNS system?

Thank you.

_Beep boop, I’m a bot! I dug through the forum to get you started. I sometimes get things wrong though, so do with this what you will until a human has a look._

Could you run your domain through [dnschecker.org](http://dnschecker.org) with record type A and tell me whether most locations fail or only some? Could you also tell me your internet provider and country, and what `nslookup karaokelite.rf.gd` and `nslookup karaokelite.rf.gd 1.1.1.1` return? That shows whether the domain fails for everyone or only on your network.

Your hosting account is active, and it’s about two days old. The article below says that a domain added less than 72 hours ago may not work everywhere yet, and that waiting is usually all you need to do.

It also says that if you’re using one of our free subdomains and it’s listed in your account, there’s nothing for you to set up. Some networks and providers filter free subdomains and return “not found” for them. That only affects people on those networks.

This article walks through both cases, including the dnschecker and nslookup checks:

> When you try to open your website, your browser says it can’t find the address. Depending on your browser, you will see an error like: This site can’t be reached Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site. ERR\_NAME\_NOT\_RESOLVED DNS\_PROBE\_FINISHED\_NXDOMAIN This means your browser couldn’t look up which server your domain points to. Before your browser can connect to a website, it asks a DNS server to translate the domain name into an IP address. If that lookup fails, your browser doesn’t even…
