  • PHP 8.0, 8.1 or 8.2
    (PHP 8.1 is recommended)

Welcome, PHP8 is not available yet, however work is in-progress to make it happen. Unfortunately, we don’t have an ETA, and it may take some time before you can use it.

However, premium hosting has PHP8 installed that you can use as soon as you upgrade.

So how do I know which of the myriad of Softaculous install options actually work on the server as is?

Those who support PHP 7.4. If you’re unsure, look up the version Softaculous offers in a search engine (i.e Google) and see if it is compatible with PHP 7.4 or if it requires a higher version.

Anyway, found a working alternative.

A quick look through the code seems to imply that Kirby CMS 3.7.5 is the newest version that supports PHP 7.4. You may be able to start with that version for now and upgrade to the latest version of Kirby when our hosting is upgraded to PHP 8.
