Invalid response for ACME challenge

I am trying to get an SSL certificate. When I upload the verification file to .well-known/acme-challenge/ I can access the file, but the verification fails and i get this error:

Invalid response from http://factalts.ml/.well-known/acme-challenge/4hwzMYhfL-tuL2FyuOfBG138vCyGljHektpf_AN4OwU: “function toNumbers(d){var e=;d.replace(/(…)/g,func”

Also when I try to go to factalts.ml/.well-known/acme-challenge/ It displays the 403 Forbidden error.

BTW. The file in the error was deleted, this is just for the example.

I would like to see error page instead of example if possible.

Also when I try to go to factalts.ml/.well-known/acme-challenge/ It displays the 403 Forbidden error.
There’s much of ideas that could be, maybe your site’s htaccess file forbid access indexless directories.

If you are getting SSL cert from LetsEncrypt, and using the file verification, then it won’t work because of the security system.

You can use Cloudflare ssl instead.

BTW @ejer246

This is documented here:
