Hello i was trying to install roundcube but can not figure it out can anyone tell me how?
do you mean roundcube as in the webmail software?
I don’t think you can setthat up on a free account here… but don’t quote me.
Yeah the webmail software
What part are you specifically having trouble with? You can find the official installation instructions here. Please note that the steps with composer must be done on your own computer, and that InfinityFree calls your document root folder “htdocs” instead of “public_html”.
You should be able to use Roundcube on InfinityFree perfectly fine. But the actual email server you connect it to would have to be running somewhere else.
Please extract locally then upload with FileZilla
And btw here is the domain Here
Firstly, what file manager are you using? It looks like MonstaFTP, but we removed it because it was too buggy. So if it doesn’t work, then that’s your answer: the file manager is buggy.
But it also tells me that you’re probably using a third party file manager. Please know that we strongly recommend against ever entering your credentials into third party websites, there is no way to know what they’ll do with them.
I’m pretty sure that RoundCube doesn’t work on our hosting. We had to disable IMAP functions on our hosting due to rampant abuse (the majority of accounts using it were using it to try and break into other people’s mailboxes).
As for the log_errors issue, that’s a very weird issue from RoundCube to have. We don’t have it enabled because error logging was too costly. But for RoundCube to completely refuse to function because of that is a very strange design decision. It’s up to the server and/or website administrator to decide how errors are handled, not the application developer.
Im using Ftpweb which has monsta ftp
But is there any way to remove the log_errors I just want to get into the roundcube administration panel
Personally, I’d stick to FileZilla or the official file manager, as these are known to work (although the official one is buggy)
It should be possible, but it probably requires modifying the RoundCube source code. It’s an option if you know what you’re doing, but I wouldn’t recommend it.
And also keep in mind that both @dan3008 and I already told you: RoundCube probably won’t work on our hosting to begin with due to IMAP functions being blocked.
I’m not sure exactly what your end goal is to setup RoundCube, but my recommendation would be to find another solution for this that doesn’t involve hosting RoundCube with us.
