Hello everyone, I thought it was possible to subscribe to a plan on InfinityFree to enable the use of PHP mail and get other benefits. I can’t find the page anymore. Can you help me?

Please note that there is no such thing as InfinityFree premium hosting. We don’t provide premium hosting ourselves, the premium hosting we advertise is provided, sold and supported by iFastNet, which is a different company. If you purchase a plan with iFastNet, you are interacting directly with iFastNet and not with InfinityFree.

You use InfinityFree Premium and says they are not hosting Infinity Premium ?

There is no such thing as InfinityFree Premium. We do not advertise InfinityFree Premium, and we do not use InfinityFree Premium.
All premium hosting offers you see on our website and panels are offers from iFastNet. InfinityFree doesn’t provide premium hosting, only iFastNet does.
No, iFastNet has their own tools and interface.
If you decide to upgrade to iFastNet’s premium hosting, then you’ll get a new account through iFastNet from where you can manage your website. iFastNet can also migrate your existing website from InfinityFree to their premium servers.
Until the website is migrated, you’ll just be using free hosting like everyone who hasn’t paid for premium hosting. Once you migrated to premium hosting, it’s basically like switching to a different company. It won’t change anything about your InfinityFree account, except that any changes made here no longer affect your website because your website is no longer hosted by InfinityFree.

Thank you for the explanation, but I doubt I’m the only one who’s wondered about this when seeing the word “premium” in your banner. It’s quite misleading and frankly ridiculous to use it.

oups !!! sorry !!! KangJL, Is it possible to use all the features of phpBB with InfinityFree? I installed phpBB using the Softaculous tool, and it’s really great. Initially, I started by uploading the official phpBB archive. Is it possible to use extensions? Install language packs? Use phpBB’s built-in mailing tool? Should I switch to a paid plan with Ifastnet? What do you recommend?
I have never used phpBB myself, but I assume you shouldn’t have a problem installing extensions and language packs. However, if the built-in mailing tool uses PHP’s mail() function and doesn’t have an option for SMTP, then no, you cannot use the mailing feature.
If your website accumulates a lot of traffic, then it would be wise to switch to iFastNet. Otherwise, if your website gets relatively low visits, there is no need. At the end of the day, that is your choice. iFastNet will provide more features and less limitations compared to free hosting, but there are still limits.
