Can you please:

  • Try to login with a desktop FTP client instead to see whether the issue is with FTP access on your account or with the file manager?
  • Share your account username so I can check if FTP access is OK?
  • Try these instructions to fix FTP access.

I had tried but not working.

Same error here, looks like it’s not only for one user. The rest works (like SQL database etc)

FTP works for me, both sides (upload and download)

To everyone thinking of replying this issue: carefully think what your message contributes to the conversation. Just saying “I have the same issue” with no details doesn’t help anyone.

Same issue eere means: the same issue with the same error message. I didn’t just say that I have the same issue with no details as I indicated that FTP was working both ways.

Anyway it works again after a few hours. The error was in the title of the OP post “could not read line from socket”. But all is fine now.

Yes, that information was useful, especially if you had included with your initial message instead of writing two posts in quick succession. And had included your account username, which you still haven’t done.
