I need to download my site file and my account is Temporarily Suspended

Your account is Temporarily Suspended

Your account was suspended because you hit the Hits limits.

Now I need To Download my site file

Just wait until the limit is lifted; only after that period can you download your website files, but first you might also need to prevent further bot traffic (if some bots caused the Daily Hit limit to trigger) for you to download your website files safely.

We don’t provide backups for temporary suspensions.

You have to consider that for you to get access the file, the following needs to happen:

  1. You need to notice the account is suspended.
  2. You need to submit a ticket to ask for the backup.
  3. We need to see the ticket where you’re asking for the backup.
  4. We need to generate the backup.
  5. We need to send the backup link to you.
  6. You need to download the backup using the backup link we sent you.

In most cases, these steps can easily take the better part of 24 hours depending on when the steps are done (e.g. sleep schedules) and how busy everyone is (ticket queues on our end, other activities on your end).

And even if you have the backup, then what do you want to do with it? Migrate the website elsewhere? DNS propagation alone can take up to 72 hours, which is much longer than the suspension and also causes downtime.

So really, the fastest way to get your website back online is to just wait for your account to be reactivated automatically.

If you want to migrate your website elsewhere regardless, you can already start by setting up your new hosting and pointing the domain over, and simply migrate the website when your account comes back online.

But we’re not going to spend staff time and server power just so you can download your files a few hours earlier than you would be able to otherwise.
