I bought Super Premium Plan hoping that I could edit A record IP address to my AWS cloud server public IP address so that I can host my Flask C2 server. But I still dont have the ability to edit ‘A record IP address’ of my subdomain or ‘Add A record’
Also, just wondering if I chose the option ‘pay by monthly’ is it auto payment? because i only need it for 1 month not like 2 or 3 months.
Other Information
Please email me at [email protected] for further support thanks!! I just paid the super premium plan and i felt so cheated… I need this for my school project and I wasted my money please… I bought the plan which leaded to ifastnet and it seems like I dont have the premium plan. I bought the $4.99/monthly…
if im not able to edit A record could it be because my hosting package is currently still pending? also can you provide me ifastnet email so i can ask for support because i cant open a ticket as i have trouble logging in… i only can sign in by gmail. thanks
To contact iFastNet support, you will need to submit a ticket through their support portal, and to do that you need to create an account on that support portal. They don’t have an email address or other way through which you can get support.
Also, you do you, but why would you want to purchase a web hosting account to be able to point an IP address to a server somewhere? Sure, you can’t change the DNS records on a free subdomain, but I also don’t really know if you can do that if you get a premium account. iFastNet will point your free subdomain to their premium servers, but you don’t get full DNS control over it.
Wouldn’t it be much simpler and much cheaper to just purchase a domain name instead? That’s only $10-$15 per year depending on the extension (much less than ~$5 for a hosting account), and is guaranteed to give you full DNS controls.
To be clear, you didn’t get scammed, you just made a poorly informed decision. Which can happen of course, it’s not strange to assume you would get full DNS controls over your free subdomain. But it is a rather expensive way to get a domain with full DNS control.
iFastNet provides a 7 day money back guarantee with their hosting, so you can probably just get a full refund if you ask them. But that does require you to contact iFastNet support through their support portal.
So I just used iFastNet ‘Zone Editor’ to edit the ‘A Record’ IP to my AWS Cloud Server public IP address. However, when i use the DNS tracker as well as under InfinityFree’s DNS record, the ‘A Record’ IP address still did not reflect the new IP address I changed to… what is going on… what should I do?
Please note that any DNS zone editor only shows you what’s configured, not actually what’s live on the domain name.
This goes for our DNS Records tool: the A records shown there are only the records that should be configured in our nameservers. It doesn’t check what’s actually configured in the nameservers, or whether the domain name is using our nameservers in the first place.
This also goes for the Zone Editor in premium cPanel: it only publishes DNS records in the cPanel managed nameservers. If your domain is not using those nameservers, those changes will have no effect. Because as I told you before:
If you’re looking to see the current DNS records of your domain, any DNS lookup tool or service can do that for you.
You should do the thing we all keep telling you to do: talk to iFastNet through their support portal.
You bought hosting from iFastNet. If there is anything that’s not clear or doesn’t seem to be working correctly, you should contact the company you purchased the service from. You’re paying for that one-on-one support.
iFastNet can tell you if or how you can make this DNS change yourself, or maybe they can do it for you. And if it’s not possible, you can get a refund through them.
Please stop asking these questions on a community support forum of a different company. Nobody here can help you with anything you need.
