How to login to wordpress directly?

I installed WordPress via Softaculous on InfinityFree and have always used the Softaculous “Admin Login” button. I have no recollection of setting a separate WordPress username (or email address) and password manually.

I know my InfinityFree and control panel credentials, and I also know that FTP and MySQL database credentials are derived from these.

So, how can I log in to my WordPress website directly (username/email address and password)? Were these set automatically by Softaculous or InfinityFree initially (at least the username)? I couldn’t find anything relevant in the phpMyAdmin tables.

What is your domain?

The admin username and password are the credentials you chose when installing WordPress. Those fields are shown during the installation wizard of Softaculous.

If you didn’t make a note of those, you can recover them like so:

1. Login to the WordPress admin area using Softaculous’ “Admin Login” button.
2. Go to your profile in the top right of the screen and click Edit Profile.
3. Check the page, and note the Username and Email Address of your admin account.
4. Click the “Set New Password” button, enter a new password (or note the generated password).
5. Scroll down and click Update Profile.

Now you can login with your username (or email address) and the password you configured.
