Hit applicable on URL load?

If a website hosted on InfinityFree loads a resource via an external URL, such as a Font Awesome URL or a URL of image or a css file like bootstrap etc, would that request count as a “hit” against the website’s usage, or does InfinityFree’s “hit” count solely reflect requests for files hosted on their own servers?

When you load a resource from your own website, it will count as a hit. However, if you load it from an external site or server, it will not count as a hit since it never reaches your website.

so technically speaking, using links of images and links of font will help in lower usage of hits

In both cases, it’s a hit, indirectly, as you are using an external image file it won’t count as a hit in infinity free stats. You can always embed the image with html in base64 and it will load the resource without needing to reach other addresses.

Only if those recourses are not hosted on your hosting account.

The hits limit is not that restrictive, you can load a few images and stylesheets on every page
