Ftp size

Well, I tried to upload the files from previous hosting without succeed. Every time I got error message about the max size. I also used SCP ftp and filezilla . Looks like it uploaded without any problem. However, it disappeared when i tried to unzip them. Please help. http://engunlimited.com

Thanks,

InfinityFree has a file size limit of 10 MB on all servers. You cannot upload files larger than 10 MB.

don’t understand why there is a limit on a file zie.

I was able to break the big file into multiple 10M files using 7zip. How to unzip them?

You can’t unzip files on the server. FTP can’t do that, and neither can our file manager.

If you’re looking to upload big files, please see this article for ways on how to do that:

The server definetly doesn’t have 7zip. Just extract and upload them.

I was able to upload half of the files today, and faced error message:
Connection closed by server
Error: File transfer failed
Status: Resolving address of ftpupload.net
Status: Connecting to 185.27.134.11:21…
Status: Connection established, waiting for welcome message…

FTP is quite a sensitive protocol. If you’re transferring many files, it will take quite a while and some transfers may fail. When that happens, just retry the failed transfers until they are all completed successfully.
