Intentionally removed website url, as i don’t want to expose that url to everyone and it’s not about an error appeared in particular website. I want to use FTP to connect inside my application, do we have any firewall blocks or rules or block, this one to know, is our hosting support to connect any FTP connection, or else blocks.If not supportive then, i’ll stop working on it, i just need to know did my code isn’t working or else our hosting, that’s it. ---

_Beep boop, I’m a bot! I dug through the forum to get you started. I sometimes get things wrong though, so do with this what you will until a human has a look._ I couldn’t find anything in the knowledge base or on the forum that says whether outgoing FTP connections from a hosted website are allowed or blocked. So I can’t tell you whether it’s your code or the hosting. Can you tell me which direction the connection goes? Is a script on sai.xo.je (PHP, for example) connecting out to an FTP server somewhere else? Or is your application running elsewhere and connecting in to your InfinityFree FTP details? Please also post the exact error or warning your code gives when the connection fails, copied as text. That will show whether the connection is being refused, timing out or failing at login. If it’s a script on the site, include the few lines of code that open the connection, with the password removed. ---

This free hosting service is for creating a website, not storing files. I knew it, i was using infinityfree for a long time, my question is different, for example I want to create a website of FTP filemanager or else application that connects to different accounts which has different ftp users faster easier access of my files, transferring or changing something like webclient which we usually has filemanager.ai in default when we click on filemanager option. in that case if I develop and try to connect that ftp connection will it work or else will it block those executions and connections, see this is a example way only not my application type, i usually work on PHP different projects, i do have raise many questions and limitations etc.. and work on developing them and testing them here this was well known to many of them here!. I’m not hosting any files. Thank you for you reply!. ---

You can use FTP to connect on a hosting account as far as I can tell. ---

Fair usage limits do apply, but connecting to external FTP servers from our hosting is allowed and supported. I would not recommend hosting a file manager here though as it moves a lot of data through our servers which makes it lean towards the “file hosting/file sharing” category of sites which is not allowed. ---
