Other Information

Are you aware the FTP server’s certificate had been invalid?

And are you aware that

  1. The certificate issue had already been fixed and
  2. The error message you’ve shared have nothing to do with the “issue” you’ve described?

Ok, good to know.
So, how can I fix it?

I don’t know, because if your issue is “the certificate had expired”, then it’s already fixed. And if your issue is that you disconnects every 20 seconds, then it’s by design, it’s not an issue. Our server really just disconnects after 20 seconds of inactivity.

If the “issue” is that FTP is hard to use because of the strict inactivity limits, then no, there is no way to “fix” it.

The FTP server only has limited connection slots available which are shared with all free hosting accounts. So we don’t want you to leave the connections open for hours without actively using them. That’s why we have quite tight inactivity limits, and kill the connection after 20 seconds of not using it.

So feel free to keep FileZilla open in the background while you’re doing something else. But before starting transfers again, you may want to click the Disconnect and Reconnect buttons to make sure you get a fresh, working connections.

No, my issue is when I try to list a folder on FileZilla, sometime it works, but frequently get this:
got GnuTLS error -110: The TLS connection was non-properly terminated.

So, why it happen a lot, how to fix?

I see, it make sense to me that ftp connection would be killed after 20 seconds of idle.

The thing is, the 110 error would still happen even after I disconnect and reconnect again, not every time, but too many times.

What I can tell is that all of the things you have described suggest that the FTP server is just working as intended.

Our server never shuts down connections properly. This unfortunately means that this message will just be there, even if nothing is wrong.

Perfect! So that you won’t leave connections open for hours by just clicking “reconnect” and we can serve more users.
