I give up
I have tried everything I know from this end and all the settings I can in FZ and still unable to upload files.
I get a connection at top level, change to htdocs then it throws me out with Server shutdown error when I try to upload.
btw, most of the settings mentioned in your last response do not exist in FZ e.g. “Don’t verify certificate against certificate authorities” & * Uncheck “Require TLS session resumption on data connection when using FTP over TLS.” so I don’t know how to try them.

I’m sorry for the bad instructions given before.
But the reality is that I don’t really know what else to check. Something appears to be interfering with the FTP connection and is killing the connections after switching to passive mode.
You have already attempted all the usual steps to see where the issue may be coming from, and didn’t find anything.
There is only so much I can do to investigate an issue if I cannot reproduce the issue.
Given the problem seems to occour when switching to pasive mode, you can force Filezilla to use active mode. In the site manager select transfer mode and try switching that to active.
I don’t know if it’ll work, but its the only thing I can think of.
Hi
Tried that - no luck.
I even created a new account and it’s the same issue.

probably a silly question, but have you ever gone into your account control panel?
I know you need to go into the control pannel once to activate your FTP account.
The account was working fine for over a year until this problem started a week ago
Agggh - I managed to load my files on the new account via the File Manager - but now the account has been suspended due to abuse???
Evidently the automated filter detected something you uploaded as violating the TOS. You’ll have to open a ticket to get help though.
Ticket has been raised
Ugh terrible when that happens Hopefully it was a false positive and they sort it out quickly for you
All fixed quickly.
Managed to load all the files via file manager to my replacement webpage Home
FZ still going into PASV and having issues with my IP address - even though I have turned off firewall / Anti Virus and put IF, FZ and everything else I could think of on whitelists
That makes sense. Looking at your last log, Active FTP is not working (which it shouldn’t in normal circumstances, but sometimes routers do strange things), so FileZilla falls back to passive mode.
To be clear: a textbook FTP connection uses passive mode. Sometimes switching to active mode works, but that’s pretty rare I think.
