FTP connection not possible

Is it not possible because it’s a free account?

It is possible. What software are you using, what error are you getting, and what have you done to troubleshoot?

Did you also check this article and see if any of the troubleshooting steps presented there help solve your issue?

If none of the information there helps you, then please share the logs from your FTP client so we can see why exactly the FTP connection is not working for you. These are the instructions for FileZilla:

It was solved by connecting to ftp.infinityfree.com rather than ftpupload.net. ‘VistaPanel’ is written well as ftp.infinityfree.com, but ‘FTP Details’ is written incorrectly as ftpupload.net.

ftpupload.net is the correct FTP hostname. If you tried to connect to ftp.infinityfree.com, you should have seen a warning saying that the SSL certificate from the FTP server is only valid for ftpupload.net, not for ftp.infinityfree.com.

The “ftp.$brandname” hostnames are actually a legacy feature. However, the ftpupload.net domain name is actually blocked on many networks (usually on the DNS level) breaking FTP access.

Using ftp.infintiyfree.com is perfectly fine as a workaround. I’d say that the actual solution is to get ftpupload.net unblocked on your network.
