Free SSL certificate not matching / installing

You need to paste the key and click upload, then paste the certificate and click upload to at the same time

@alanshakeyprice I strongly recommend removing your actual Private Key from the forum (doesn’t matter if image or text), and not sharing it with anybody. It can be used to impersonate you.

Most issues with the SSL certificate validation and issuance problem are solved by just waiting, not by trying over and over again.

Thank you. The dual purpose of that UI confused me. I thought I had to press the generate buttons for either use. Entering only the provided key and the certificate finally worked.

Sorry for the delay in replying. I am new in the forum and when I tried replying to your note it said I had maxed out replies for the and had to wait 22 hours.

Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the heads-up. I x’d out some numbers in the first post but yes should have done the same on the screenshots. I currently only use the site for testing ideas for apps, and if I start to use it more broadly I assume I could delete and make a new SSL, or will the private key always be the same?

Understood. Several of the tries included long waits for updates and waiting again to see if the https would work, but due to the recurring error message I showed in the posts, I tried a few times in a row to succeed without getting the error until Greenreader9 helped me see what I was doing wrong. Sorry if you thought the problem was that I was just impatient.
