files are deleting

hello, admin, I don’t know how but my files are getting deleted automatically and this problem is from starting of my website.Help me my visitors are complaining.

auto-deleted when uploaded?

btw. you have some inline js and I’m sure you don’t have any manifest
and also this feature has been removed from the Web standards. Avoid using it

    window.addEventListener('load', function(e) {

      window.applicationCache.addEventListener('updateready', function(e) {
        if (window.applicationCache.status == window.applicationCache.UPDATEREADY) {
          // Browser downloaded a new app cache.
          // Swap it in and reload the page to get the new hotness.
          window.applicationCache.swapCache();
          if (confirm('A new version of this site is available. Load it?')) {
            window.location.reload();
          }
        } else {
          // Manifest didn't changed. Nothing new to server.
        }
      }, false);

    }, false);

its FORM not forum

also your e-mail address is in plain text (lots of spam inbox)

it would be ideal if you could use this, but…big but reCAPTCHA

@OxyDac that won’t help with the current topic.

@download read this: https://infinityfree.net/support/why-are-my-files-deleted-after-uploading/

That’s why I wrote and asked “auto-deleted when uploaded?”
but he did not answer

this part is confusing me “my visitors are complaining”
and that can mean that they are not able to access some file and so on…

Yes, Oxydac the code you mentioned it refreshes my page automatically when some user enter my website because the content remains unchanged even when I update some CSS or HTML files from the server.If you have any other code except meta tag which shows the present website, not the old one then I will remove that code from my HTML file

And yes I will change that FORUM :#

HI

Your problem with cache is that you hurried to put website online but it’s unfinished

the content you will most frequently modify is downloads page, is that so?

how long a browser will be keeping some element in the cache depends on
how it’s defined in Cache-Control for the HTTP headers

I did not test which modes are enabled on this host
but just for your info

Thanks, Oxydac, you always help me, but I am really noob in this, which mod should I choose so that every time user open my website it is updated

Yes I hurried, I wanted to do business as fast I can and now I think, I did a very big mistake

This should disable the cache on everything

put this in .htaccess file inside of your htdocs

# no cache by mr. download
<IfModule mod_headers.c>
Header set Cache-Control "no-cache, no-store, must-revalidate"
Header set Pragma "no-cache"
Header set Expires 0
</IfModule>

Thank you so much Oxydac once again :slight_smile:

yw
the line with “pragma” is not really needed because it’s older way
but it does not matter (now you have all 3 way)

I am using that code

I replaced that old javascript file with your code

you mean .htaccess file :slight_smile:
now delete inline javascript from your pages (window.addEventListener…blahblah)

yes from .htaccess
Actually, I am changing the whole design for mobile so I am downloading the file from the server and editing in my pc then I will replace my edited files from server files so I am deleting that code on my PC
