File turned 0 bytes after using it for a while — please help restore book_detail.php

Error Message

Hello InfinityFree Support Team,

I encountered a serious issue right now.

My book_detail.php file suddenly became 0 bytes after a filemanager.ai timeout. The rest of my website is working fine, but this particular file now shows blank both in the browser and file manager. And i can’t even see any of my website files hence the screenshot. I used FTP client and AndFtp apps to see other files except that the book_detail.php shows 0bytes file size,…because my PC got spoilt for FileZilla).

This file contained 21 book blurbs that took me a lot of time to write, and I didn’t delete or overwrite it manually. I suspect it got corrupted during a file manager issue (“Broken pipe” message from AndFTP).

Could you please check if there’s any way to restore the file (/htdocs/book_detail.php) from your system or recent backup? It’s a very important file with lots of data.

I would be deeply grateful for any assistance.

My account ID is: if0_39421560

Website: singlesformarriage.com.ng.

Thanks in anticipation.

I’m sorry, but InfinityFree doesn’t do any form of automated backups as it would be too expensive. So if it’s gone, then it’s really gone I’m afraid. It might be a good idea to work on any future such content on your own PC or device, and then upload it to your site.

I don’t think it’s gone, I think the File Manager is having major issues and it looks like the files are gone.

@SinglesAdmin Try connecting to your FTP account using something like FileZilla.
