in my Joomla administration webpage, whenever I try to change an option in the global configuration menù (any option in Site, System, Server, Logging, ecc…) I got this error message:
However, I’m able to change some of those options by directly editing the configuration.php through the filemanager of InfinityFree dashboard.
I also got errors whenever I try to delete an image using the default media manager of Joomla, but no problems when using filezilla.
It looks like I don’t have some permission from the admin console of Joomla, but from Filezilla I can see all the folders have 0777 permissions and files have 0644.
I used Softaculous installer for intalling Joomla, could that have created these problems?
I’m not sure why you get this error, because Joomla should be able to edit and delete all files in the website without issues. The default permissions allow this.
Given that the file name is just random letters and numbers, I also don’t know what file that is or why or when you would see that error?
Perhaps the people on the Joomla forum are better equipped to help you with this? It’s entirely possible that this is a hosting issue, but I don’t have enough knowledge of Joomla to know what to do.
