Error Message

Hello, I have a Starter Premium account (username: if0_42198473). My PHP application cannot connect to MySQL. I keep getting: Access denied for user ‘if0_42198473’ appears to not be authorized to connect to MySQL server sql204.infinityfree.com. PhpMyAdmin works fine but PHP PDO connections fail. Please authorize this IP or fix the MySQL user permissions. Thank you

OK, there are a couple of misunderstandings I need to address first I think.

Firstly, premium hosting is provided by iFastNet, not us. That means you can manage your premium hosting account through iFastNet’s portal and control panel. iFastNet can migrate your website from free hosting, but this is not automatic, you need to ask them to do it for you. When they do migrate your site, they will copy your data from your free account to your premium account. At that point, your free hosting account will remain, but not serve any further purpose.

If you have any questions about or need help with your premium account or the migration to it, please contact iFastNet, we cannot help you with that.

You seem to have one website with us, and it’s not migrated to premium hosting. I can see that you have started the order process for a premium account with a .vip domain, using the “own domain” option. The domain itself is registered with a third party registrar and is not pointing to iFastNet’s hosting.

I cannot check if you have an active premium account, but you are not using premium hosting right now.

On the website itself, I see the following error:

SQLSTATE[HY000] [1045] Access denied for user 'if0_42198473'@'192.168.0.186' (using password: YES) (SQL: select * from information_schema.tables where table_schema = if0_42198473_smmbooster and table_name = payment_methods and table_type = 'BASE TABLE')

This error is expected: database users on free hosting do not have access to the information_schema database, they can only access the database itself (which seems to be if0_42198473_smmbooster).

I’m not sure if this is the same on premium hosting.

So my recommendation is: get your website migrated to premium hosting first, and see if that solves the issue. If not, then you can contact iFastNet for help.

Can you please let me know how can I migrate my website to premium hosting ?

Like I said:

Just send a support ticket to iFastNet. They can help you with this, I cannot.
