On my sites, coolcarsnguitars.com (plus grouseguitars.com and grousecars.com) I get the following message when loading as https.

This site can’t provide a secure connection

coolcarsnguitars.com sent an invalid response.

ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR

I have followed the guidelines for adding the domain to the Free SSL Certificates tool, and likewise the Cname updates, but 24 hours later nothing has changed.

The SSL certificate screen shows status as ‘pending’ for the past 36 hours or so. Will this change?

I’ll keep plugging away, but any guidance will be much appreciated!

Did you click the “request certificate” button ?

Yes I did.

48 hours later it still shows as ‘pending’.

I just checked your website and it appears that the SSL certificates have been successfully issued and installed.

Once you click Request Certificate, issuing the certificate should only take a few minutes, definitely not 48 hours. However, do note that after the certificate has been issued, you still need to install it.
