Domain onlinehubs.world not available after nameserver propagation

Hello InfinityFree Support Team,

I am facing an issue while trying to create a new hosting account for my custom domain.

  1. Domain Name: onlinehubs.world
  2. Issue: When I try to create a hosting account, the custom domain section shows “Not Available”.
  3. Verification: The nameservers (ns1.infinityfree.com and ns2.infinityfree.com) have been fully propagated worldwide, confirmed by external DNS tools.

Could you please manually check the status of my domain onlinehubs.world and clear any locks so I can successfully create my free hosting account?

Thank you for your help.

Either you’ve managed to work it out, or the domain is already assigned to someone’s account.

Have you used this domain with another free hosting provider that uses IFastNet?

Hello, my account is now active, and the DNS propagation is complete. However, I am still unable to create the hosting account, and it shows “Not Available” for onlinehubs.world. Could you please check the domain lock again and confirm it has been cleared? Thank you.

No issue

Thank you for confirming. I have refreshed my browser, but the “Custom Domain” still shows “Not Available.” I cannot proceed with creating the hosting account. Please see the attached screenshot of the “Create a Free Hosting Account” page. Could you manually refresh my panel or check the domain lock one more time?

You are misunderstanding things.

Custom domains are never available when creating new hosting accounts.

The one and only way to use a custom domain is to add it to an existing hosting account.

Thank you for confirming the domain is ready. I created the temporary account (if0_40080703) on a subdomain. However, when I try to add onlinehubs.world to it, I get the error: “The selected custom domain is already in use on InfinityFree.” (See attached screenshot). Please check the system to see which account onlinehubs.world is currently registered to, and link it manually to my new account: if0_40080703. Thank you.“already in use”

You cannot add the same domain twice. This is entirely normal given that you are already using the platform.

I understand that the domain cannot be added twice. I am receiving the “already in use” error when trying to add onlinehubs.world to my active account (if0_40080703). Since the domain is ready, it must be locked to an old, inaccessible account that I created while debugging the nameserver issue. Please manually remove onlinehubs.world from the old locked account and link it to my current account: if0_40080703. Thank you for resolving this final step.

I checked where the current domain is hosted.

Are you sure that you’ve never signed up to our hosting before? With another email address perhaps? And used an infy.uk subdomain?

Because the other account was logged into many times from the same IP address that you’re using to access this profile.

And while this is probably clear to you by now, I do want to state it here for completeness sake:

  • Every client area profile can have up to three hosting accounts. If you want another hosting account, you can simply create one from our client area after being logged in with your email address and username. You don’t need to sign up again using a different email address to create a new hosting account.
  • Every hosting account can have multiple domain names. If you want to host another domain name, you can simply assign it to an existing hosting account using the Add Domain option. No need to create a new account for a new domain name. And as you’ve observed: custom domains can only be assigned to existing accounts, and cannot be used to create new accounts.

Thank you, Admin. Regarding the “other account,” I suspect it may be under the email address @gmail.com, which I might have used earlier during the nameserver setup. Since I have created a new active account (if0_40080703) under [email protected], please manually remove onlinehubs.world from the old locked account (possibly [email protected]) and link it to my current account: if0_40080703. Thank you for resolving this final lock.

If you could regain access to that other account, then there should be no reason you can’t do this yourself. Even if you deactivated the original hosting account, you can still reactivate it long enough to remove the domain from it, and add it onto the one you’re using now. Doing so will be much faster than waiting on Admin to do anything for you.

If you don’t mind me asking, why is the old account inaccessible?

Thank you, EdwardHamHam! You were absolutely right. I logged into my other account ([email protected]) and found the locked account (if0_39622254). I have successfully removed onlinehubs.world from there and added it to my current account (if0_40080703). I sincerely apologize for the confusion. Thank you for your guidance, the issue is now resolved.
