404 Not Found for All Files (index.php, index2.html) – Files in htdocs, Domain Active
Hi InfinityFree Support,

I am experiencing a persistent 404 Not Found error on my site:

Details:

  • My domain is active and correctly assigned to my hosting account.

  • All my website files (including index.php and index2.html) are uploaded directly inside the htdocs folder.

  • File permissions for index.php are set to 0644.

  • I have no .htaccess file causing rewrites or redirects (or I have tried renaming it).

  • I have tried clearing my browser cache, using incognito mode, and accessing from different devices/networks.

  • I have waited more than an hour after making changes or re-adding the domain.

  • I previously saw a PHP error (which I fixed), but now only get 404 errors for all files, including direct access to index.php

If it still doesn’t work for you, please clear the browser cache by pressing a few times Ctrl + F5 while viewing your website.
If that doesn’t help (because some browsers are stubborn) then follow these instructions:

Dear, your site can take up to load public since infinityfree server needs to verify it especialy if you have just created html file so now your site should be available since it ussualy can take up to 10 minutes. If you still can’t acces it try removing browser cache it can sometimes save data of previous version of the site or try using another browser on another device if you have one.

I wish your site works now since it seems like it was about server, as i said sometimes it can take time for host to verify it and now it works for me , if you still cant acces it, try using another browser, device or removing browser cache

InfinityFree does not “verify” your files that much it delays everything. It’s either browser cache or your ISP doing wierd.
