As I am anticipating some additional traffic and work I’d like to upgrade to something premium from Infinity Free. I’ve loved the service and am very used to it now. However, I am not in any way interested in migrating to iFast.net. This is because I don’t know if this will be an ongoing thing and I don’t want to have to migrate back, to be honest, I don’t wish to do any migration in the first place as its more work than its worth. If Infinity Free offers something with their hosting however I’m happy to spend some money. I would assume that they would be open to such a revenue stream even if the money ends up going to iFast.net since I understand they provide the infrastructure anyway, but perhaps I am not aware of some reason that they might not?
Any help would be appreciated.
The only premium option from infinityfree is the ifastnet, our whole hosting infrastructure is under ifastnet’s control, so we simply can’t offer premium options solely on our own.
Since ifastnet have the infrastructure, technically you didn’t migrate.
Migration would still take place if you purchased ifastnet. But you don’t need to handle the migration on your own, you can ask them to do the chore.
If you mean that completely no migration, then under the current circumstance there’s no such option.
Unless one day infinityfree decided to purchase their own servers, control panels, etc, then it is possible.
This. The free hosting platform is a free hosting platform. All the features you would expect from premium hosting simply do not exist on here.
And this free hosting platform is built by iFastNet, and I don’t see them adding premium hosting on the same platform any time soon.
Even if we did, we would probably keep separate free and premium servers, where premium servers should have better performance and stability. So even then some migration would be required.
I have found out in the past that if you are selling paid hosting, people do expect a premium experience. If they find out then that they’ve just been paying for “free hosting with something extra”, then people will get angry. Even if you tell them very clearly what exactly they are buying.
