Do the https:// URL changes when you register a sub domain

My website is https://www.daytips.xyz.
When I add a news.daytips.xyz subdomain will the url be https://www.news.daytips.xyz or http://www.news.daytips.xyz?

I will be grand for your assistance.

SSL certificates are valid for a single domain name only. So if you have an SSL certificate for daytips.xyz, it’s only valid for daytips.xyz and www.daytips.xyz.

If you then create news.daytips.xyz, it doesn’t have SSL by default. But you can create a new SSL certificate for the subdomain and install it on the subdomain.

Every subdomain needs it’s own SSL certificate.
