DNS cashing issue

Hello!

For a few days now, I have to use a vpn in order to get my website and cpanel to work. I have read something about caching issues but must I fix it or will this resolve on its own?

You can configure 1.1.1.1 on your device if you don’t want to wait for DNS propagation and clear cookies and cache on your browser.

set 1.1.1.1 as m ip address?

Right click on the Ethernet or Wi-Fi connection menu, click on the option to open the connection center, then click on “Modify card options”, right click on the Wi-Fi or Ethernet card you’re using for DNS settings, click on Properties, then on Internet Protocol Version 4 (IPv4) click it, then on “Properties”, then tick “Use the following DNS servers:” and on Primary DNS put 1.1.1.1, on Alternative DNS put 1.0.0.1, then OK and close all of those. Then open a Command Prompt as administrator, and type these commands one by one:

ipconfig /release
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /renew

and you’re done.

If I don’t change my dns, will I have to wait long for it to go back to normal?

If you don’t change the DNS it may take 72 hours for it to see the new changes.

And how come a vpn works very well or can by pass this problem?

A VPN works very well to see the website on any part of the world, even Italy!, before the DNS propagation on your side is finished.

Instead of right click on the ethernet setting, is there another way to configure this ip address? I think my echo redirect is not working because I am using a vpn… I found that in stackoverflow

Must I use the ipconfig options once I have set the numbers?

I have changed my dns and have done the ipconfig but it is still not loading my cpanel and site…says error network changed

I really don’t know what to do here and have tried the suggestion you made… I guess I must always use a vpn…

Did you read the official KB article already?

Not yet but will it work if I just reset my modem?

Sure, you can try to reset your modem, or do anything else which you think might help. But I am trying to help you and gave you information to do so, so why do you ignore this help?

If you think you can solve this on your own, please go ahead, but I’m not sure why you seem to be asking for help here but then ignore the help offered to you?

I have already set my dns setting and have done the ipconfig but it still doesn’t work…

thanks for the article…I will try the google dns server…
