Yesterday, I suddenly started getting “Error establishing a database connection”. I checked my hosting panel and found that the database I had created had disappeared, and the database section was showing 0/400. I created a new database yesterday and started working on the website again. I worked on the homepage, but now the same issue has happened again. The new database has also disappeared and the website is showing the database connection error again. I also checked my WordPress wp-config.php file. The database name, username, password, and database host were configured according to the database details provided by InfinityFree. There is also another issue: the account is currently showing “Account stuck in processing”. I checked my friend’s InfinityFree account today, and the same “Account stuck in processing” status is appearing there as well. This was not happening before. Could you please check my account and investigate why the database keeps disappearing after around 24–28 hours? I have already had to recreate the database twice and have lost work/time because of this. This is an active website project, so I would really appreciate your help in resolving this issue as soon as possible. Thank you. ---

Admin (the only staff member) checks in about once a day for issues on our end. - Volunteers can’t see your account or website. Share what you actually see, like error messages and what happens when you try something. That’s more useful than your theory of what’s wrong. - AI tools often get InfinityFree wrong. If a volunteer’s advice differs from what an AI told you, please try the volunteer’s suggestion first. - Solving an issue is a joint effort. Try the suggestions you get and report back what happened. ---

There is currently an ongoing issue with WordPress SQL databases, that seem to all be from Softaculous WordPress installations. This was not happening before. This is a generic announcement that doesn’t pertain to your account specifically. It doesn’t apply to you unless you’re waiting for your site to be reactivated after a suspension or deactivation, but neither are the case for your site. (Otherwise it would be redirecting to the suspension page, not presenting a database error.) ---

Thanks for checking and explaining this. That makes sense. My WordPress installation was also done through Softaculous, so it seems to match the issue you mentioned. I’ll wait for the admin/[iFastNet](https://www.infinityfree.com/go/ifastnet) investigation and avoid recreating the database for now. ---

Just wanted to post an update here in case you didn’t see the issue on the status page. The issue was identified as a database permission issue. The bug has been identified and resolved, and the fix has been retroactively applied to affected websites. This means that the databases that had disappeared were not actually lost. They have been recovered, are fully accessible, and your website should now be working again. ---
