I am trying to install MediaWiki, but I can’t access the script installer at all.

There could be some connections issues with the Script Install afaik. Try clear your cache or try after sometime. Alternatively you can attempt to install manually by following the official documentation

The Softaculous opens fine from my hosting account, so can you please:

Or manually install the software as @jaikrishna.t suggested

I clicked the Script Installer button and instead of the error, I was in. It was correct when it told me to try again later.

Except when I tried installing, it said it lost connection and I had to exit. And then I tried to re-open the installer but got the error again.

I think I see the issue. It appears that one of the client area servers is being blocked from accessing some parts of the hosting platform. This can result in intermittent issues with some features in the client area.

I have contacted iFastNet to get this resolved.

In the mean time, you can always access the script installer manually through the control panel. Simply login to the control panel from the client area, and find the “Softaculous” option in there.
