Can't login to my website

I’m sorry to say that this problem will not fix itself. You’ll need to take action to make sure your site is restored.

You can either move the files from the htdocs directory to the sudokusystem.com/htdocs directory on your account.

I just did this for you. Also because I had an idea on what could be an extremely easy way to do this, which I’m happy to say worked.

The process goes as follows:

  1. Open the file manager of your hosting account.
  2. Go to the sudokusystem.com directory, and delete the htdocs directory located there.
  3. Go back to the base folder.
  4. Right click the htdocs folder in the base folder and click Cut.
  5. Go back to the sudokusystem.com directory, right click anywhere in the window and click Paste.

That’s it! Files are moved to the right location. Assuming the original website was working before, it will now be live once again!

Your website still didn’t work because the database user was incorrect. I changed that to the correct value (the value to use is clearly displayed in both the control panel and client area), and now the website is loading again.

Looking at the website, it seems to be pretty much a clean WordPress installation. I’m assuming that this isn’t the website you tried to migrate in.

If you still have access to the old HostGator account, I recommend to migrate your website using the process recommended by both us and by WordPress:

If you don’t have the original hosting account anymore and only have the Full Account Backup, we can make do. But please be clear about what you want and what your options are.

I really want to help make your website work. But I can only help you if you answer my questions and follow my instructions. If you don’t want to, that’s also fine, but then you’re on your own.
