Hi and welcome to the forum! You’ll have to create your hosting account with a subdomain first and then add your domain after creating your hosting account on either the “Domains” section of the Client Area or under the “Addon Domains” or “Aliases (Parked Domains)” section of the Control Panel after you changed your nameservers to ours or, if your domain registrar or the registry for your TLD doesn’t allow non-configured nameservers, through a CNAME record you have to set in the moment you add your domain on your hosting account. This is done to reduce friction in the procedure of creating hosting accounts, but you’ll also have to note that, if you add your domain as an addon domain, a new htdocs folder on your domain name’s folder will be created, and you’ll have to upload your files there for them to show up on your custom domain.

but i have seen videos in which they just create a new account , select a free hosting plan and they get option to add custom domain right away?

Just confirm me . Can i create a wordpress woo commerce site using the same above procedure?
You can; you’ll only have to make sure you install WordPress through the auto installer on your custom domain instead of your subdomain.

The account creation process was changed recently.
Please note that there are no official InfinityFree video tutorials, all videos you see are created by other people. And so there is no guarantee that those videos are correct, or were ever accurate at all.
