Can't add custom domain through CNAME Validation

Hey, I wanted to add custom domain named atena.biz.pl that I bought on lh.pl.

I edited DNS record at my DNS provider and added CNAME record (5960649fdda7c6690c7f5e7d8b1f27cf.atena.biz.pl), but I don’t see it on Google Dig and I can’t do CNAME Validation.

The nameserves are alright. I’ve waited a few days and still nothing. I don’t know where the issue is.

Thanks for help in advance.

So where did you buy the domain? also Are you sure you did the whole work right? Also the domain you’re talking about is a subdomain. If nothing works contact the domain provider.

I checked for the CNAME record myself, but there doesn’t seem to be any CNAME record setup with the name 5960649fdda7c6690c7f5e7d8b1f27cf.atena.biz.pl.

As far as I can tell, it’s possible that either you didn’t configure the CNAME record correctly with your domain name provider, or there is an issue with their system resulting in DNS records configured through their panel not taking effect in their nameservers.

In either case, I suggest you (also) contact your domain name provider, they should be able to see what’s setup on their end.

I’ve contacted my DNS provider and they showed me that the CNAME record is visible (DNS Checker - DNS Check Propagation Tool)

So why I can’t do CNAME Validation? Any ideas?

That’s the non-format view I got at Google Dig. Maybe it will help somehow.

Likely due to this

Do not mix nameservers!!!

Because you mixed up the name and the value of the record.

You should have a CNAME record at 5960649fdda7c6690c7f5e7d8b1f27cf.atena.biz.pl pointing to ns1.byet.org. But you have a CNAME record for ns1.byet.org.atena.biz.pl pointing to 5960649fdda7c6690c7f5e7d8b1f27cf. That’s a different record, and it will not let you add your domain name.

You can do CNAME verification, but you do need to setup the record correctly.

I’m pretty sure that “lh.pl” and “lighthosting.net” are the same company, and that these are not different sets of nameservers at all. Some hosting providers just use different domain names for different nameservers for reliability.
