Error Message

Other Information

I am trying to create a protected folder at bookflix.rf.gd/schools/chsw-18bd, but I get the above error.

Interesting, try adding a trailing slash after the URL?

Can you please share here what EXACTLY you put in the box on the Directory Privacy page?

I’m referring to this box.

I think it has something to do with the dash. I can’t protect wp-admin too

I just tested this myself and can confirm that having a ‘-’ in the directory name is a problem

I was able to password protect a directory called passwordtest
I was unable to password protect a directory called password-test and got the following message
The path entered does not appear valid, and example of a valid path would be http://lovebug.epizy.com/myprotectedfolder

Still don’t see what the issue is:

Invalid directory

When and where? Like I’ve shown you, I am unable to reproduce this issue. And I can’t fix an issue which I can’t verify exists in the first place.

@Admin I found the issue

The error occurred After I enter username and password
You’re not actually reproduce the issue…

Please see my error screenshot. anyway, it is fixed
The issue was my dash.

Yes, it occurs after username and password entry.

Ah, that’s a very important part I didn’t know before.

I wouldn’t say the issue is “fixed” by removing the dash from the URL. A dash is valid URL character, so it should just allow it.
